Job TypeFull Time PermanentSalary£39,105 – £43,878 per annumLocationWaterside CampusClosing Date28-11-2024Ref NoUN5124Documents(PDF, 160.61kb)About the JobInterview date: W/C 11 December 2024An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced health and safety professional to join the Governance, Compliance and Risk Department at the University of Northampton.The Health and Safety Advisor will join the Health and Safety Department and work with the Health and Safety team in developing and implementing the University’s Health and Safety Strategy and Annual Plans of Work.You will play a key role in delivering the University’s health and safety management system, including presenting training, undertaking risk assessments and preparing inspection and audit reports.You must be able to apply your skills, knowledge and experience to a broad range of health and safety and fire safety challenges consistent with a higher education environment.The post will require you have excellent communication, relationship building and presentation skills to positively engage with our academic and professional services staff and our student population.We want you to be able to carry out your work in a way that best supports UON and our students, but also you as an individual. We understand this may vary between different areas of the university as well as from one person to another. DepartmentThe Health and Safety Department is a small team within the university’s Governance, Risk and Compliance department.
