Start Date: January 2025Are you a passionate leader ready to make a difference in the lives of young people with special educational needs? We are recruiting for a Headteacher to lead a brand-new specialist school for children and young people with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs in Essex, starting in January 2025.This state-of-the-art facility offers a unique opportunity to build and shape an inclusive, nurturing environment that empowers students aged 5-19 to achieve their full potential. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience as a senior leader in an SEN or SEMH setting, with a proven track record of delivering high standards of teaching and learning.Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the strategic and operational development of the school.
  • Drive educational excellence and ensure high-quality teaching and learning.
  • Foster a safe and inclusive environment for students with SEMH needs.
  • Collaborate with staff, parents, and external agencies to provide personalised support.
  • Manage resources and oversee staff development.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory regulations and school standards.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with extensive experience in an SEN or SEMH setting.
  • Proven track record of improving student outcomes and driving educational excellence.
  • Strong leadership skills, with a focus on personalised, therapeutic education.
  • Understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies.
  • Ability to inspire and lead a team of skilled professionals.
