ROLE:Head of Test Equipment and Automation Team
LOCATION: Sofia, Bulgaria
SALARY: Negotiable
DURATION: Permanent
As Head of Test Equipment and Automation Team, you are responsible for leading and developing a team of Engineers in the field of test processes and automation to ensure that all local operations are completed on-time, within budget, and as per set goals.
Responsibilities:
•To develop, modify, and validate test equipment for the produced on-site products, in coordination with the other departments;
•To develop, modify, and validate technical solutions for automation of the produced on-site products, in coordination with the other departments;
•To implement and control all changes in the production equipment, following the best practices of the company;
•To create and maintain the necessary documentation for the implementation of new testers and automation equipment;
•To develop continuous improvement plans in terms of costs or quality, correctively or pro-actively;
•To propose and manage the investment budget and the regular improvement plan;
•To develop competencies in terms of testers and automation (SW languages, PLC and mechanics);
•To ensure successful implementation of newly developed or transferred testers or automation equipment;
•To execute new R&D projects according to the project plans on testers’ development and automation
•To know the characteristics of all available test equipment and suggest acquiring the most appropriate for carrying out operations;
•To manage the process of communication and information exchange with external suppliers and follow up the projects’ execution;
•To participate in the Group strategy development for testing and automation standards.
Requirements:
•University degree in Electronics, Micro-electronics or equivalent;
•Technical competencies and experience for at least 5 years in the fields of electronics (analog and digital), software, and test practices;
•Experience with people management;
•Experience in design and development of electronic and electromechanical devices;
•Deep knowledge of manufacturing test methods and equipment;
•Basic knowledge and experience in definition and control of manufacturing processes;
•Good understanding of the techniques for validation and verification of new HW & SW solutions;
•Good written and verbal communication in English;
•Team worker with excellent communication skills, able to convince;
•Ability to work at matrix organization and an international environment.
