Head of Service Industries37 hours per week£53,222 per annumBolton College is seeking to appoint an outstanding leader to join our successful College Management Team. We have an exciting opportunity for a Head of Service Industries to lead the management of all aspects of the operation and development of the Department working within the College’s management framework to deliver high quality learning programmes.Ideally, you will have:

• Degree or equivalent qualification
• Teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed or equivalent)
• Evidence of professional updating and development
• Evidence of managing IQA/EQA
• Proven track record of sustained improvements in outcomes for learners across a range of funding streams

Day-to-day you will have responsibility:

• To provide outstanding leadership of the College’s curriculum departments within the area of responsibility
• To champion and ensure the effective implementation of the College’s teaching, learning and assessment (TLA) approach, ensuring that TLA is appropriate, up to date and to the highest standards.
• To be pro-active in exploring, developing and implementing cutting edge pedagogy in the context of the curriculum within the area of responsibility.
• To ensure all quality assurance procedures and systems are effectively implemented within the area of responsibility including the work with sector partners to underpin rigorous quality and inclusive practice standards.
• To work with leaders within the senior management and wider college management team to robustly implement and lead on aspects of the College’s Positive Behaviour approach, delivering training and contributing to policy and procedure updates as required.

• To be a key driver of the implementation, maintenance and improvement of the College’s quality assurance and improvement systems, addressing under performance and actively supporting a culture of continuous improvement. Induction
