As Head of Sales you manage the teams Global Sales, Local Sales and Sales Support, to drive the development and execution of a commercialization strategy in line with our business plans. You have a focus to drive market adoption of our products and are responsible for business, revenue & market share growth. You take a global perspective on market opportunities, leads and prioritizes commercial action plan, making sure that all your departments are aligned to meet its strategic commercial objectives.
You will have a dual scope, on one hand you will be responsible for managing your teams, and on the other hand you will be responsible for the respective sales activities within the country scope.The key responsibilities of the Head of Sales are divided as such :
- Set up, organize, and drive your sales teams to follow up the customer portfolio and identify growth opportunities within their area.
- Develop commercial activities according to the objectives set by the Group
- Validate and challenge business action plan developed by Sales Manager
- Implement management tools to follow sales teams’ performances as per the group strategy, and proactively implementing corrective actions when necessary
- Promote products and services to customers and prospects
- Analyze market statistics on a regular basis and report to the General Management and teams based in Regional Office
SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
- 5+ years as an Account Manager
- Strong Knowledge in Shipping (minimum 5+ Years of experience in liner shipping)
- Management and leadership Skills
- Effective communication skills (Ability to articulate various business scenarios with customers, senior business leaders & middle management) Demonstration of professional demeanor, positive attitude, and ability to manage stress through challenging situations
- Must be able to prioritize work effectively and manage time efficiently
- Previous experience in Salesforce platform
- Analytical mindset with ability to use data to dive decision making
