Job DescriptionAs the Head of Differentiated Format Stores, you will be responsible for leading the strategy and operations of our Special Format Stores (think of Rituals’ Outlets) that operate under unique, non-standard formats. You will drive operational excellence and consistency to ensure these stores align with our global brand vision while tailoring approaches to meet the needs of local markets. You closely collaborate with the format & design team, who are responsible for the design & store development, and focus on overseeing store performance, enhancing customer experience, and drive profitability within the global retail framework.The Outlets help us grow to a business of 200 million and strategically, Outlets play an important role as an additional footprint in our omnichannel way of working, next to Retail stores and Online.You work closely with our international Local Head Offices and the different teams at our Central Head Office in Amsterdam, e.g. innovation, format & design, inventory, and master data.This matches you as Head of Differentiated Formats. For 40 hours per week, you:

  • Develop and execute the strategy for outlet and premium stores globally, ensuring alignment with the overall business objectives of the organization.
  • Partner with senior leadership to define the vision for new and existing differentiated stores, ensuring they reflect the company’s innovation and brand identity.
  • Identify growth opportunities by analyzing market trends, consumer behaviors, and emerging retail innovations to drive competitive advantage.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of all differentiated format stores, ensuring operational excellence, high customer satisfaction, and sales growth.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for the stores, tracking sales performance, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiencies.
  • Partner with marketing, format & design, digital and e-commerce teams to develop omnichannel initiatives that enhance customer experience across differentiated formats.
  • Lead initiatives to create memorable, immersive experiences for customers in differentiated format stores, ensuring they are aligned with the brand’s values and vision.
  • Stay ahead of retail trends and competitors, introducing innovative store concepts that enhance brand engagement and customer loyalty.
  • Manage and mentor a team of retail professionals, providing leadership, performance feedback, and development opportunities.
  • Driving Special Format business by translating local requests to centrally managed offerings including continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Develop and manage the budget for differentiated format stores, ensuring financial targets are met or exceeded.

QualificationsHigh on energy, low on ego and with a lot of humor.   • Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in a retail leadership role, with a focus on differentiated or unique store formats.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Retail Management, or a related field
  • Proven track record of managing multi-format retail operations, delivering results in terms of sales growth, profitability, and customer engagement.
  • You are not afraid to challenge existing ways of working and proactively contribute to further optimization of day-to-day processes and take actions to implement them
  • Strong leadership and team management skills with experience in developing high-performing teams.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a high level of adaptability topped with excellent communication, interpersonal, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Your strong analytical skills give you the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Knowledge of global retail markets, consumer trends, and cultural sensitivities.
