In this role, you will be responsible for Product Master Data for Matas Group (incl. Matas and Kicks). Reporting to the Head of Commercial Excellence and responsible for a team of 8-10 people.Your responsibilities will include

  • To integrate two Master Data departments in Allerød (Matas) and Stockholm (Kicks), fostering a high-performing environment, cultivate talent, and ensure clear roles and responsibilities. Ensuring efficient and stable operations while preparing a road map for integration.
  • Project management and collaboration with the category organization to support the business and optimize the onboarding of new products, including taking over and streamlining several tasks from the category organization in the long term.
  • Champion the two major development projects – ‘Product Master Data Leadership’ and ‘The Circular Economy’ together with dedicated project organizations, incl. project managers and project participants.

Overall KPI

  • Successfully merger the two Product Master Data teams (Matas & KICKS teams) into a single high-performing entity.
  • Delivery of all operational KPIs during the integration, including data quality, lead time, and number of item creations.
  • Establish close collaboration, trust, and clear roles and responsibilities for key partners, incl. category, suppliers, Ecom, Logistics and IT/Tech.
  • Ensure transformation of Matas Group into best-in-class in the Nordics/Europe within Product Master Data Management through several development projects.

The ideal candidateWe imagine you are a passionate leader with a strong academic background and experience in Product Master Data. You have had leadership responsibilities, preferably from a large retail company with international reach and online and offline channels. You have worked with the latest technologies on AI, automation, and data governance models and have demonstrated strong collaboration skills. You are a strong communicator, with the ability to convey complex issues and you master going from deep detailed knowledge to a helicopter perspective. You have strategic and commercial understanding, and you can navigate the trade-off between pragmatic vs. full-blown solutions. You are fluent in written and spoken English.You will be part of Matas Commercial Excellence Team, which is a strong team of 30 people divided into Pricing and Promotion, Space and Floor planning, Assortment analytics and management, and Product Master Data.
