Make your mark for patientsWe are looking for a Head of Pharmacovigilance Innovation to join us in our Global Pharmacovigilance team, based in any of our Brussels (Belgium), Slough (UK) or Raleigh (US) offices.About the roleReporting to the Head Vigilance, Systems & Innovation, as member of their leadership team (LT), the Head Pharmacovigilance Innovation will facilitate preparedness for the future by driving innovation in systems and process excellence for Global Pharmacovigilance. This role will be an agent for change, driving improvements to processes and systems, and also providing necessary expertise in project and program management. The role will be expected to take business process lead roles in critical projects.As a seasoned expert in ICSR safety case processing, signal management and supporting technologies, the role will work with other members of Global Pharmacovigilance to innovate to mitigate gaps in process, technologies and competencies, providing expert advice and challenging the status quo.Who you’ll work withYou will report into the Head of Vigilance, Systems & InnovationWhat you’ll do
- Drive innovation and process excellence and for projects and programs in Global Pharmacovigilance
- Provide required expertise in project and program management, and process improvement.
- Take business process lead roles in critical projects including, but not limited to, replacement of the safety database, Adverse Event collection and other safety data interfaces, and end-to-end ICSR process harmonisation.
- Innovate to mitigate gaps in process, technologies, and competencies, providing expert advice and challenging the status quo.
- Evaluate and create tools to build and develop relevant competencies for new trends within industry in relation to safety case processing, signal management and supporting technologies, and novel areas in Pharmacovigilance
- Provide mentorship to broader team members to enable development of key competencies, emphasising teamwork, collaboration, innovation, decision making and to ensure industry leadership in PV.
Interested? For this position you’ll need the following education, experience and skills:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Expert knowledge with several years experience in Pharmacovigilance, particularly safety case processing and associated technologies.
- Proven track record in project and program management, process improvement, and driving change projects.
- Problem solver & pragmatic approach.
