About your future role
Leading a passionate IT Risk management team as part of a bigger Risk Management department in the second line of defence with a collaborative and hands on approach. The atmosphere is relaxed with focus on a good team dynamic and knowledge sharing. Being part of a bigger group provides a network across Europe with the possibility to share knowledge and experience broadly. The role is regularly in interaction with the Group IT Risk management team and is contributing to shaping the future of IT Risk management across the Group.The position is located in Ballerup, Greater Copenhagen area and offers hybrid ways of working, enabling flexibility in working hours and working place.Your key responsibilities in this role will be:

• Proactive subject matter expert providing thought leadership and deep domain expertise to ensure timeliness and quality of IT Risk assessments and ad-hoc risk advice delivered to internal stakeholders.
• Collaborate with IT and security teams, senior management, legal, compliance, and other stakeholders to align IT risk management with business objectives.
• Ensure comprehensive risk assessments of IT systems, security measures, applications, and infrastructure to identify potential vulnerabilities and threats. Develop and implement risk mitigation plans and controls to reduce exposure to identified risks. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of risk mitigation measures and adjust strategies as necessary.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements, industry standards, and best practices related to IT risk management.
• Analyse and assess different types of information flows in order to identify potential IT and security risks.
• Monitor execution progress and proactively ensure any impediments are resolved and report on key metrics as relevant.
• Act as primary contact for external stakeholders within IT Risk domain.

Capabilities needed to be successful in this role:Deep domain expertise and thought leadership

• Familiarity with (preferably solid experience with) using relevant industry standard IT standards and frameworks such as IRAM2, COBIT, ITIL, ISO27001, or others.
• Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and industry standards (e.g., DORA, GDPR, ISO 27001/27002, NIST, PSD2, ISO 22301) related to IT risk management and cybersecurity.

Strive to continuously grow expertise and disseminate knowledge

• Passionate about continuously acquiring knowledge to improve skills.
• Stays up to date on latest innovations and guide colleagues on their adoption.

Great communication skills, even on technical topics

• Able to communicate complex content in an understandable way to any audience.
• Solid stakeholder management skills to navigate complex environment and ensure collaboration.

Mentorship skills and inclination to support

• Provide leadership and guidance to a team of IT Risk management professionals, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
• Able to drive knowledge-sharing on relevant subjects across the team.
• Able to assess capability gaps in a team and identify ways to support colleagues to develop.

Education and background:

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CRISC, CISA) preferred.
• Extensive work experience in IT risk management, cybersecurity, IT audit or related fields, with a track record of implementing effective risk management strategies.
