Your day at NTT DATA
The Head of Human Resources – UKI plays a crucial role in ensuring a successful transformation. This involves partnering with senior business leaders to develop and implement HR strategies that ensure, smooth and efficient HR operations. Responsibilities include supervising and consulting with management on strategic HR plans, such as compensation, benefits, training and development, systems, budgeting and employee engagement. Additionally, this role fosters a collaborative and innovative team culture focused on operational excellence.
Operating within a matrix environment, this role may report to both the UKI CEO and HR Leadership on matters related to Compensation and Benefits, Learning and Development, and Talent Acquisition.
What you’ll be doing
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute a comprehensive HR strategy aligned with the organisation’s overall business goals and long-term vision for growth
Lead and manage a team of HR professionals in executing the overall HR strategy.
Facilitate and oversee the implementation of standardised HR processes within the organisation.
Ensure adherence to all internal policies and legal standards.
Structure benefits programs effectively to attract and retain top talent.
Benchmark salary, benefits, and total compensation to ensure competitiveness in the talent market.
Develop and manage the HR budget and apply for relevant rebates in line with legislation.
Collaborate with technical teams to design, integrate, and implement HR software systems for improved efficiency.
Recommend and implement new and improved measures for performance evaluations to drive strategy execution.
Provide ongoing training and education to managers on processes and proactively assist them in leading and driving engaged performing teams.
Manage HR team performance to ensure strategy execution.
Drive organisational culture by sharing best practices and developing and sustaining cross-functional relationships.
Design and implement strategies to develop and retain top talent
Align the variables that will help NTT Data become one of the best places to work in the UK, and take responsibility for marketing the employee value proposition
Serve as an advisor to the CEO and leadership team on HR topics and potential labour conflicts.
Knowledge, Skills, Attributes
Extensive knowledge of HR best practices, trends, and strategies to set direction and execute HR initiatives aligned with the organisation’s goals.
Deep understanding of the company’s industry, market dynamics, and key business drivers to align HR strategies with business objectives.
Expertise in talent acquisition, development, and retention strategies to build a skilled and engaged workforce.
Comprehensive knowledge of HR laws, regulations, and compliance requirements to ensure adherence to legal standards.
Proficiency in organisational design, culture development, and change management to enhance overall organisational effectiveness.
Strong knowledge of HR technology and data analytics to make data-driven decisions and optimise HR processes.
Leadership skills to inspire and lead the HR team, promote a culture of excellence, and drive organisational change.
Strategic thinking abilities to develop HR strategies that align with the company’s long-term vision.
Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively convey HR strategies and initiatives to senior leadership and employees.
Sound judgment and decision-making abilities to address complex HR challenges and make informed choices.
Strong negotiation and influence skills to collaborate with stakeholders and drive HR initiatives.
Ability to build strong relationships with executive leaders, employees, and external partners.
Resilience in navigating challenges and leading through uncertainty.
Experience in Outsourcing and Mergers and Acquisitions
Academic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Human Resources or a related field.
An advanced degree such as a master’s degree or equivalent in Human Resources or an MBA is highly desirable.
Required Experience
Experience working as an HR Director, preferably within a global IT organization.
Significant experience in managing people through complex business transformations.
Proficiency in HR systems and technology.
Demonstrated experience managing and leading a team of specialists and generalists in the HR field.
