UNIQLO respects the individuality and lifestyle of all customers and takes pride in creating high quality, long-lasting, innovative clothing at an affordable price.With UNIQLO looking to continue its expansion in the Benelux region, we are creating an exciting new role of Head of Human Resources Benelux, reporting to the region’s Chief Operating Officer. Your team will consist initially of two business partners and two local HR coordinators situated in stores. You will work closely with the EU Directors of HR, Talent Acquisition, Learning and Development and Sustainability to shape an aligned local strategy.The person in this role will set the overall HR vision, strategy and execution plan, manage a small team and work hand in hand with the local store operations members, regional and global COEs such as Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development, Comp and Ben, Sustainability and Health & Safety to achieve great results.The right candidate will have strong hands-on experience of operational general HR and enough business acumen to be a valuable sparring partner to management. We are seeking a collaborative people leader who has great stakeholder management skills and knows what best practice HR looks like. The role also offers the opportunity to play a key part in regional and global HR projects.What you will be responsible for
Organisational transformation/development
● Collaborating with key stakeholders in EU HQ and Global HQ to secure strategic alignment and leverage of capabilities to drive local projects.
● Striving to make improvements to processes and tools to support business operations. Supporting our business in its digital transformation.
● Re-examining work conditions for store staff employees to address work environment, demanding management culture, physical activities, working shifts, access to mental health and wellbeing resources. Developing strategies that will maximise employee engagement and motivation.HR Advisory
● Leading the HRBP and HR service in-stores’ team, making sure HR operational excellence is delivered to all stores while always improving ways of working. Conducting regular travels to stores and local offices across the region are integral to the role.
● Rolling out strategic initiatives that support the whole employee cycle and best experience from attracting to offboarding.
● Being a strategic and pragmatic advisory to senior and HQ leadership.
● Conducting HR risk management – ensuring correct governance is created and maintained for all people areas, supported by relevant regulations, tools and training. This includes correct governance of all compensation, benefits and employee relations matters, HR data management processes.● Leading for all external employee relation matters including external lawyers and any employee representative bodies.Payroll/HR analytics
● Managing the relationship and performance of the payroll outsourced partner, ensuring our operational payroll processes are running smoothly and effectively.
● Making use of our data and insights in order to make relevant people/business decisions.
● Ensuring that compensation and benefit policies remain attractive and competitive based on market benchmark.
● Continuous reviewing of all processes and procedures to ensure maximum efficiency and understanding at all level of the business including system utilisation, automation and necessary skill development● Redefining our standards in key processes such as hiring, onboarding, performance reviews, career development etc…Learning & Development
● Working with the L&D team to agree initiatives to drive culture, values, self-leadership and leadership across the organisation.
● Identifying, developing and nurturing future talent and business leaders based on the expansion plan. Developing and supporting current Talent Management and workforce planning strategies.Profile● Extensive work experience developing and driving a holistic HR agenda in a global context with a broad knowledge of HR processes connected to Leadership, People and Talent, Performance, D&I, Comp. & Ben, Competence Management, Works Council relations etc.
● University Degree within behavioural science, psychology, business administration, HR or similar.
● Experience with leading change, preferably in an international setting and cross-cultural environment.
● Business experience with a clear understanding of the critical link between HR and the business strategy.
● Fluency in French and English, both written and spoken is essential. Dutch would be additional bonusAs a person and leader, the following describes you:
