Not least, we also firmly believe that it is simply the right thing to do for the people we employ and the communities we operate in.As we continue to develop on our journey, we are looking for our next Head of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion.You will be a key member of the Global People & Culture Leadership Team and report directly into the Chief People & Culture Officer, Pernille Fritz Vilhelmsen.As the Head Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, you will be at the forefront of integrating key social principles into all aspects of our global people processes, with a keen focus on fostering a diverse workforce with equal opportunities for all. Your responsibilities will include developing innovative solutions to advance our organization’s progress and collaborating with our Centres of Excellence to eradicate biases from our people processes. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring that those considerations are woven into our strategic decision-making processes, thereby contributing to the creation of a physically and psychologically safe workplace environment that prioritizes employee development and a positive work experience. Additionally, you will lead efforts to achieve balanced leadership by promoting gender parity and diverse representation across all levels of the organization, thereby enriching our perspectives and driving positive change.You will spearhead cornerstone projects also serve as a champion for Hempel’s positioning as a leader in this space, both internally and externally, collaborating with our Communications team and also our leaders at Executive level.Your role will entail partnering with Centres of Excellence, Strategic Business Partners, and People Partners to establish a comprehensive approach that incorporates internal feedback, external trends, and best practices. As a close sparring partner to the Chief People & Culture Officer, you will contribute to cross-functional collaboration and continuous improvement initiatives. You will also engage with our CEO in his ambition to be the frontline ambassador in Hempel for this critical agenda. We will reply on you to ensure a close link between customer-centricity, overall value creation, and our efforts within diversity, equity, and inclusion. This includes alignment with corporate governance and reporting requirements for the DE&I aspects of our ESG reporting.We are seeking a person who has a deep passion, unwavering engagement, and a relentless drive to instigate change both within our organization and beyond. While specific skills and educational backgrounds are valuable, we place even greater emphasis on personal potential and capacity. The ideal candidate will exhibit a mindset of anchoring the DE&I agenda as an enabler for our overall growth. You demonstrate global, holistic thinking, and are adept at formulating strategies that transcend geographical and cultural boundaries. Strategic and analytical acumen is essential, as is the ability to leverage digital solutions effectively to enact meaningful change.

The successful candidate will possess a track record of driving transformative change across diverse organizational landscapes and will exhibit strong influencing skills, capable of inspiring action even in the absence of formal authority. As this is a key individual contributor role, it is important that you are used to working with and through others to cement sustainable change and not only ceremonial adoption.
