Make your mark for patientsTo strengthen our Digital Technology (DT) team, based at the HQ, in Brussels, Belgium, we are looking for a talented individual to fill the position of: Head of DT Quality Assurance.About the role:The function envisions, organizes and directs the set up and strategic deployment and maintenance of efficient digital processes and systems that integrate and organize across Global Quality Assurance all and processes of UCB in order to provide the most efficient and cost effective and compliant solution for UCB in alignment with the overall DT strategy by:
- providing Global Quality Assurance functions and their partners with computerized systems to deliver full business value,
- ensuring that the implementation and the operations of the DT solutions in scope are compliant to company, regulatory and legal obligations (trustworthy, secure, safe and compliant operations) & that the DT solutions and the data in scope are protected against cyber threats,
- managing a team of professionals and team leads and ensure the team members are contributing to the goals and are adequately trained and have the right expertise.
The scope is global – covers all QA process and covers all GxP domain across the entire value chain of UCBIn scope are Quality Assurance systems (global and local), the Quality Assurance functions and core processes Data Integrity, Archiving and their partners and other UCB functions as specified and required.The scope covers all inspections and audit globally (inspection preparation, during inspection support and post inspection follow up)What you’ll do:
- Define and implement the Digital Technology (DT) strategy for Quality Assurance (QA) in alignment with UCB global goals, QA strategy and DT strategy.
- Collaborate with Global Quality Assurance leadership and stakeholders to create and manage the digital technology roadmap, including advanced analytics, to meet QA business objectives.
- Ensure delivery of DT projects within agreed scope, time, budget, and quality, including timely escalation of issues.
- Oversee the secure, compliant, and trustworthy operation of the Quality Assurance technology landscape and data, adhering to legal and UCB-specific requirements.
- Ensure resilient operations of QA systems and manage incident resolution impacting these systems.
- Provide input to other DT teams on major QA requirements and develop a skilled team to manage the QA technology landscape, ensuring continuous knowledge updates and compliance with UCB processes.

- Bachelor or Master’s degree
- Proven leadership success in a multinational environment.
- Strong business acumen with a long-term perspective and strategic thinking to develop technology strategies that enhance patient value.
- Over 3 years of experience in Digital Transformation and recognized thought leader in the field.
- Effective project delivery including expertise in change management.
- Process-oriented with the ability to manage high complexity and adapt to innovative technologies.
- Extensive experience (10+ years) equivalent to a Master’s degree, demonstrating curiosity, resilience, and a collaborative approach to challenges.
