As part of the Allianz Technology Data Office, we are seeking a dynamic Head of Data Foundations to play a pivotal role in delivering our data strategy. In this critical hands-on role, you will lead our efforts to deliver the strategic data foundations that form the backbone of our data strategy. This role requires a seasoned data leader with a proven track record in delivering data foundations, including enterprise data modelling, delivery of Data products and solutions, as well as a clear vision for leveraging new data technologies and solutions. If you are passionate data leader with a proven track record of delivering impactful enterprise-ready data solutions, this role is for you.You will

• Collaborate across AzT and with Group to align and deliver comprehensive data solutions, considering the entire data lifecycle, in line with data strategy
• Lead the design and delivery of robust data pipelines and impactful data foundations and solutions
• Identify opportunities for data transformation by embedding data and advanced analytics into daily operations to drive continuous improvement and change.
• Partner with data managers and owners to ensure adherence to data quality standards, benchmarks, and metrics, maintaining compliance with established protocols.
• Increase automation and optimize data processing methods to integrate complex business logic and scale complex data sets efficiently.
• Develop and communicate best practices for effective storytelling through data solutions.
• Ensure the use of common data models and frameworks to promote a data-driven culture and highlight the benefits of effective data management.
• Engage with leadership and functional leads and other relevant senior stakeholders to ensure strategic alignment and support.

Your skills

• At least 10 years’ experience in Data solution delivery, data architecture or data engineering roles, with at least 5 years of management or leadership experience a plus
• Proven track record of leading, managing and delivering technical data teams and projects.
• Strong understanding of data governance, data quality, and compliance standards.
• Strong expertise in data modeling, ETL processes, and data pipeline design.
• Familiarity with advanced analytics, machine learning, and AI technologies.
• Hands-on experience with data tools and platforms

• Strong knowledge and experience in Microsoft cloud platform and related services
• Expertise in programming languages, including Python and ML libraries
• Experience with data analytics and visualization tools, such as Power BI
• Excellent communication skills with ability to adapt to technical and non-technical audiences
• Ability to convey complex data insights in a clear and compelling manner.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field
• Full professional proficiency in English
