The position

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of AskHR EMEA to join our regional Global People & Organization Services leadership team in Warsaw, Poland, who could provide strategic direction and drive operational excellence and expert guidance across the EMEA region. This role will be responsible for leading the AskHR EMEA organization (~25 HC), through 2 team leaders reporting to the position. As the leader of this area, you will define key priorities, drive continuous improvement and standardization initiatives, and maintain the Regional Service Center (RSC) Model. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HR Operations, exceptional leadership skills, and the ability to navigate a complex multicultural environment, that will require building and maintaining strong relationship with key stakeholders, such as P&O Partners in-country, Payroll and Benefits Operations team, the GBS team in India, among others. 

Your main responsibilities will be to:

-Lead and manage the AskHR teams in Poland, providing clear roles and responsibilities to drive accountability and performance and ensuring high quality operations for the countries already in scope.
-Lead by example and foster a positive, inclusive, and high-performance culture within the team; contribute to growth, motivation of the team as well as team spirit.
-Drive operational excellence and continuous improvement by implementing best Lean practices and optimizing HR Service delivery processes in partnership with our cLean partners. Prior experience implementing and following LEAN principles would be a big plus.
-Ensure the provision of consistent, high-quality HR services across the EMEA region; monitor and improve key metrics and KPIs, taking action whenever required, and constantly identifying opportunities for cost savings and resource optimization.
-Act as subject matter expert in the implementation of new processes and systems within the P&O function; provide leadership and expertise during mergers and acquisitions or internal transitions of work, ensuring seamless HR integration while at the same time driving process standardization to sustain and enhance our RSC model.
 

Qualifications

Our ideal candidate will have minimum a bachelor’s degree within business, psychology, HR or similar and passion for leading others. Master’s degree preferred.

To succeed in this role, we expect you to:

-Have minimum experience of 6-10 years of experience in HR Operations or Shared Services function, with at least 4-5 year of experience in managing HR Operational teams; experience leading other people managers preferred.
-Demonstrated experience managing HR Service Centers or shared services in a multinational organization. Prior experience in Pharma industry would be a plus, but not a must.
-Be able to demonstrate skills in PC applications and different HR IT systems, preferably HR Knowledge Base, Employee Central (SAP SuccessFactors) or ServiceNow (SNOW)
-Ideally have also cross-cultural experience, working closely with colleagues in different locations (EMEA and India) and within matrix organizations
-Exceptional leadership, verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills with fluent English. Fluency in other European languages would be a plus

About the department

We are on an exciting journey towards expanding our HR Regional Service Centre (RSC) in Warsaw. The ambition for the RSC is to provide professional HR operational service and guidance to the approx. 4.000+ employees working in Novo Nordisk in the different countries in Europe. The AskHR Europe unit is the first point of contact for all people inquiries and the team also contributes to the development of new global processes and systems including new digital solutions.

The Regional Service Centre is based in Warsaw and co-located with the Business Area office for Europe East, Polish Affiliate and Clinical Development Centre.
