We are committed to reaching net zero greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by 2040.As a Group Accounting and Reporting Professional you’ll be responsible for helping the company to measure our financial performance, setting company-wide accounting standards, and driving improvement initiatives on accounting and control matters. In every case, your activities will touch those of colleagues throughout the whole of Signify, as well as external customers and stakeholders.We’re on the lookout for forward-thinking innovators with a passion for sustainability. - Prepare and analyze consolidated financial statements that are used for internal (Monthly) and external purposes (Quarterly/Half-yearly/Annually).
- Being the authority on the Signify Accounting Principles and external reporting matters, i.e., Finance Reference Toolset (incl. new IFRS) and Financial Codebook.
- Pro-actively carry out reviews on the consolidated financial information ensuring that transactions are reported consistently with the applicable accounting standards (oversight).
- Providing support to management, Businesses, and other teams (including R2R) on the appropriate accounting treatment for transactions.
- Providing training on systems, standards and policies relating to consolidation and technical accounting/IFRS.
- Contribute to continuous improvement / LEAN for office implementation.
Your qualifications
- An Academic background in accounting, combined with relevant professional qualification(s).
- Experience in accounting, either in a multinational company or within a big accounting firm.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with non-accountants.
- Team player with the ability to work under high pressure.
- Understanding of, and sensitivity to, business environment
