Are you a recent graduate or about to graduate?Teaching Personnel are currently looking for graduates to take on teaching assistant roles in specialist secondary schools in Manchester full-time in September.The schools work with students with SEN and SEMH needs, where students will need additional support to ensure they are progressing at a steady rate. You will be involved with supporting teachers to monitor behaviour, ensure lessons go ahead as planned, and providing individualised support for the students that you will build a relationship with.Within these roles you will:– Creating a happy and safe learning environment for each student to thrive within– Helping students to focus on their work and progress at a good rate– Provide feedback to teachers, other support staff and parents to create a cohesive team of staff within the school– Work closely with students on EHCPs to ensure the terms of these plans are being met– Understand and de-escalate different challenging behaviours– Take part in different training sessions within the school to ensure that you are consistently learning and improving how you workFor these roles you should:– Be able to work with secondary aged children who have additional needs– Have some experience working with children
