Job Advertisement: Graduate Teaching AssistantTeaching Personnel is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Graduate Teaching Assistant to join an Ofsted-rated “Good” secondary school in Wilmslow. This is a full-time position starting in January and continuing until the end of the academic year, with the opportunity for the role to become permanent based on performance.About the Role:
This role is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate considering a career in education, teaching, or youth support. As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and students, playing a key role in supporting academic achievement, personal development, and classroom engagement.Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students in small groups or on a one-to-one basis to help them engage with their studies and overcome barriers to learning.
  • Assist teachers in planning and delivering lessons, providing additional support to ensure all students can access the curriculum.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment, encouraging student confidence and participation.
  • Help manage classroom behavior effectively, ensuring a focused and respectful atmosphere.
  • Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers to inform tailored interventions and support strategies.
  • Support students during non-academic activities, such as break and lunch, fostering their social and emotional development.
  • Contribute to the overall success of the classroom by supporting administrative tasks, lesson preparation, and resource organization.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Hold a degree in any subject, with a strong academic background and enthusiasm for education.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
  • Be patient, adaptable, and proactive in addressing challenges in the classroom.
  • Show a genuine interest in working with young people and supporting their academic and personal development.
  • Be reliable, organized, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Be available full-time from January through to the end of the academic year.

Previous experience working with young people is advantageous but not essential, as full training and support will be provided.What We Offer:
