Government Affairs Director – EU Affairs
Strategic partnerships with government and industry groups are crucial to the success of Dell Technologies. Government Relations is at the heart of this vital work – from liaising with leaders of government and industry, to preparing policy briefings for pending legislative actions. What you’ll achieve
The Government Affairs Director will focus on both global and EU policy issues, leveraging deep policy subject matter expertise to address evolving challenges such as artificial intelligence (AI) and environmental, social, and governance (ESG) compliance and reporting. The successful candidate will work closely with internal Dell subject matter experts, consultants, and trade associations to develop and implement government relations strategies that support Dell’s business priorities. Provide regular updates and reports to the Dell Global Public Policy Lead and other senior executives on policy developments and advocacy activities. Be nimble and proactive in addressing emerging policy issues, ensuring Dell’s interests are effectively represented
You will:
Policy Analysis and Advocacy: Monitor, analyze, and influence EU and global policy developments relevant to Dell’s business.
Strategic Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive government relations strategies in collaboration with internal stakeholders and external partners.
Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with key policymakers, regulators, industry associations, and other stakeholders to advance Dell’s policy objectives
Internal Collaboration: Work closely with Dell’s internal subject matter experts to ensure alignment of policy positions and advocacy efforts. Assists in developing, implementing, and maintaining programs to ensure the company’s awareness and impact of legislation that affects its activities
External Representation: Represent Dell in meetings, conferences, and other forums to advocate for the company’s policy positions. Develops and maintains effective lines of communication with the offices of government officials

Essential Requirements
Minimum of 15 years of related experience in government affairs, public policy, or a related field, with a Bachelor’s degree; or 12+ years with a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 8+ years of experience.
Proven track record in managing EU and global regulatory issues and policy development across a wide range of subjects across the technology sector
Expert knowledge of the EU regulatory environment and policy-making processes
Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills
Excellent communication and relationship management skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a global team
Desirable Requirements
Advanced degree in public policy, law, political science, or a related field
Previous experience working with or within EU institutions or regulatory bodies.
German language skills
