We are specialized in the design, production and maintenance of components and systems for both the civil and military aviation.As Governative International Programmes – Senior Commercial Manager you will contribute to define and implement the pricing and commercial strategies for GE Avio Governative International Programmes, ensuring that the whole organization will be focused on Customer needs and requirements. Main responsibilities will include contract review, price determination and negotiations with customers and partners as well as management of internal approval processes.Job DescriptionEssential ResponsibilitiesCritically review Scope of Supplies/Statement of Work with Customers and Partners, understand the associated risks and assess completeness and accuracy of relevant cost estimates for both non recurring activities and serial production or servicesCooperate with Finance and Programme Managers to elaborate the business plan, the indicators of bid profitability and generated cashflowAdvocate the business case for internal approvals and sustain the negotiation with Customers and PartnersBe voice of the Customer within our organizationSteer commercial terms and prices of bids to ensure compliance with internal guidelines and with allowable pricing methodologies set by AuthoritiesManage complex negotiation scenarios and ensuring the proposals will meet financial targets authorized by Leadership and Customer satisfactionMaintain comprehensive knowledge of the partnership in order to contribute to the commercial objectives of the business in the long termBuild a leverageable network with Customers and Partners based on trust and accountabilityLead cross-functional team to identify the “price to win” and cost reduction targets for the whole organization ensuring the commercial opportunities profitability and increasing target revenuesContinuously focus on improving processes, reducing inefficiencies, driving discipline and accountability to enable business growth and reduce potential or actual risk(s) to the businessQualifications/RequirementsSTEM Master’s Degree from an accredited universityStrong commercial experience in sales, marketing, in particular in military environments and ability to identify new business opportunitiesPrevious Project/Programme Management experience preferably in international military programmes with direct liaison with end usersStrong interpersonal, leadership skills and proven negotiation abilitiesKnowledge of national pricing authorities rules and international consortia preferredLiterate in finance and knowledge of main commercial terms and conditionsAble to handle multiple priorities and assignments in a time pressured environmentKnowledge office automation (Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel)Availability to travel for 25% of timeFluency in English and Italian languagesWork Visa, in accordance with local regulation, is requiredEligible for NATO Security ClearanceDesired CharacteristicsKnowledge of main technical aspects of propulsion systems and understanding of engineering matters related to NPI would be a valuable assetWhat we offerSmart working and work life-balanceAvio Aero, when possible, promotes remote work and encourages a good, healthy and satisfying work-life balance.
