SUMMARY OF THE ROLEAs a Global Blade Coatings Specialist you will provide expert technical advice on the practical execution of global blade projects within the Energy segment and develop the Global Technical Service around the network of OEM, Blade manufacturers and applicators focused on blade coatings and Leading-Edge Protection systems. You will support local and regional business to meet with customer and Jotun standards as well as collaborating with Group R&D to test new and existing products.The position is located in Scandinavia, and extensive global travelling is to be expected to be present in key markets. You will report to the Global Technical Service Manager and work as a part of the Global Technical Specialist Team.Responsibilities:
- Key person in the pre-qualification process at OEMs in blade coatings solutions.
- Key person in Jotun’s global team for blade coatings solution to support strategy for the product solutions.
- Be able to contribute to the blade coatings industry to support their application processes and procedures and contribute to cost saving initiatives.
- Responsible for the development and update of the training programs for Jotun’s technical service teams as to coatings for blades.
- Train local technical service teams to enable them to deliver proper service at stakeholders’ site.
- Train the local technical service teams in Jotun’s blade coatings solutions.
- Work closely with the relevant regional and local organizations to strengthen the technical service specialist network in Jotun’s blade coatings solutions.
- Audit and support on specifically identified key projects, to ensure smooth execution of all jobs contracted with blade products globally.
- Practical reference point for category managers energy when it comes to innovation and field evaluation of the existing product range and bring new ideas based on own knowledge and experience.
- Support the Global R&D by carrying out trial applications and field testing of new and existing products.
- Support local units in trouble shooting and claim handling on ongoing or delivered projects.
- Keep up to date with application and inspection equipment relevant for the specific area of business.
- Be a reference point to the company on application and inspection equipment within specific areas and contribute actively to updating the global technical knowledge in this area.

- Fresh and imaginative ideas and solutions.
- The ability to prioritize your time and handle multiple issues without losing sight of the big picture.
- Fluent in English and capable of writing detailed technical inspections and survey reports.
- Presentation skills
- Frosio III, Nace 3, or other relevant qualifications, which would be desirable.
- Valid driver license.
- Microsoft 365 skills.
