We are seeking a driven and experienced Global Project Manager to lead a comprehensive water savings program across multiple brewing, food, and beverage manufacturing facilities worldwide. This role requires a proactive leader who can coordinate complex projects, manage global teams, and deliver successful project outcomes.As the Global Project Manager, you will oversee the execution of water conservation and efficiency projects, working with local, regional, and global teams across continents. You will play a critical role in leading projects, resolving issues, and driving continuous improvement to meet sustainability objectives.Key Responsibilities
- Global Project Coordination: Lead and oversee the delivery of water savings projects across multiple regions, ensuring consistency and alignment with strategic goals. Facilitate communication and coordination between regional teams, stakeholders, and external partners.
- Leadership & Accountability: Act as the primary leader responsible for driving project success at both global and local levels. Resolve issues promptly, manage timelines, and ensure the projects are tightly managed to deliver on agreed commitments.
- Water Management Projects: Identify water-saving opportunities and implement best practices in water conservation and wastewater management within brewing, food, and beverage production processes.
- Drive Project Success: Develop detailed project plans, define timelines, manage budgets, and mitigate risks to ensure milestones are met on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Measure and Analyze Progress: Track project performance, monitor water-saving metrics, and leverage data-driven insights to enhance efficiency and drive continuous improvement.
- Stakeholder Management: Serve as the main point of contact for project stakeholders, including regional managers, site engineers, sustainability teams, suppliers, and government agencies. Maintain alignment on goals, expectations, and deliverables.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Collaborate with engineering, sustainability, operations, and procurement teams to implement water-saving initiatives. Lead teams in different regions, fostering cooperation and knowledge-sharing.
- Compliance & Standards: Ensure all projects adhere to local, regional, and global environmental regulations and industry standards. Stay informed about changes in water management technologies and regulations.
- Information Flow Management: Facilitate smooth information exchange with local teams, ensure accurate data collection, and address any challenges that arise.
- Strategic Planning & Goal Setting: Establish clear sustainability objectives aligned with customer needs and the company’s long-term vision. Continuously assess project scope and adjust as needed to deliver value.
Skills & Knowledge
- Strategic Planning & Goal Setting: Experience in establishing sustainability objectives and aligning them with customer needs and long-term goals.
- Data-Driven Decision-Making: Ability to measure and track sustainability metrics, including life cycle assessment (LCA) of products or processes, and use data to improve project execution.
- Project Management Skills: Expertise in developing project plans, managing budgets, and delivering projects within scope and on time.
- Leadership & Problem Solving: Ability to lead cross-functional teams, resolve complex issues, and drive projects toward successful completion.
- Technical Background & Commercial Skills: Understanding of technical aspects of water management and the ability to challenge assumptions, coupled with strong customer and commercial focus.
- Continuous Improvement Mindset: Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies is an advantage.
- Communication & Negotiation: Excellent skills in managing stakeholder expectations and fostering collaboration across regions.
- Global Experience: Familiarity with managing international projects and navigating diverse regulatory environments.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, environmental science, or a related field (master’s degree preferred).
- Experience: 3-5+ years of project management experience, preferably in the food, beverage, or brewing industry.
- Certification: PMP or similar project management certification preferred.
