We are seeking a visionary and experienced Global Product Stewardship Leader to join our team at Avantor. In this critical role, you will lead and develop a global team responsible for managing all product and chemical-related information, including chemical product safety, chemical management, and regulatory compliance. You will be instrumental in building Avantor’s Product Stewardship Strategy and delivering stewardship programs that ensure the responsible and ethical management of our chemical product portfolio throughout their lifecycle.

  • Develop and implement Avantor’s product stewardship roadmap, setting standards, processes, and leading training programs.
  • Drive organizational knowledge and capability development, focusing on cost optimization and technology-driven efficiency.
  • Collaborate across departments to ensure successful implementation of stewardship programs and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Build and maintain relationships with external groups, including government agencies and industry associations, to stay updated on best practices and lead advocacy efforts.
  • Oversee global compliance programs, including SDS and GHS labeling, and manage adherence to regulations such as REACH, RoHS, and EPA (TSCA).
  • PhD in Chemistry, Toxicology, Environmental Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in product stewardship or regulatory compliance with chemicals, including consumer products and regulated items.
  • Expertise in hazard communication and chemical regulations, including GHS, TSCA, and REACH.
  • Proven ability to collaborate across diverse teams and build effective business relationships.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and strategic thinking skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office, SAP, and IT systems.
