This Position reports to:

Business Chief Financial Officer

Reporting to the Group Controller, you will serve as the Global Process Owner (GPO) for Record to Report (R2R), with end-to-end responsibility for defining, governing, and continuously improving ABB Robotics’ global R2R operating model. You will own the R2R process taxonomy, policies, and controls, ensuring compliant, digitalized, and best-in-class accounting and reporting processes. Working closely with Business Controlling, Finance Operations, and Finance IT teams, you will drive process maturity, enable transformation initiatives, and support scalable growth across the organization.

The work model for the role is: hybrid; #LI-Hybrid

This is a global role; the preferred location is within European or Asian time zone for collaboration with operative hubs in India

Travel requirements: 20–40%, depending on location and initiatives

You will be mainly accountable for:

• R2R Strategy & Process Ownership: Define and maintain the global end-to-end R2R vision, taxonomy, and process design covering consolidation and reporting, financial close, fixed assets and leases, intercompany, journal entries, reconciliations, internal controls, and finance master data governance
• Governance, Controls & Risk Management: Establish and operate the R2R governance framework, including policies, procedures, Process Risk and Control Matrix (RACM), automated controls, and annual end-to-end risk assessments in line with regulatory requirements
• Transformation & Continuous Improvement: Drive process standardization, simplification, and digitalization initiatives; manage a prioritized portfolio of design changes supported by business cases and measurable KPIs
• Deployment, Change & Capability Building: Define deployment strategies, develop training content, and support global rollouts through train-the-trainer approaches, ensuring adoption across Finance Operations and business teams
• Stakeholder & Program Leadership: Act as the primary interface for R2R design topics, manage design projects and M&A integration support, and collaborate with Finance, IT, and Business stakeholders to ensure alignment and execution

Qualifications for the Role:

• Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree required
• 15+ years of experience in Record to Report, with strong background in global process design and finance transformation (Big 4 or BPO-led transformations highly beneficial)
• Deep expertise in R2R processes, internal controls, and compliance frameworks (US GAAP, IFRS, SOX/ICOFR/J-SOX)
• Proven experience leading complex, multi-year global transformation and standardization initiatives, including shared services and operating model design
• Strong knowledge of SAP S/4HANA and finance data governance; experience with master data and KPI frameworks
• Demonstrated ability to influence senior leaders and manage stakeholders across global, matrixed organizations
• Experience supporting M&A integrations and carve-outs from a finance process perspective.
• Excellent English communication skills; additional languages are an advantage
