What You’ll Do:  

As Global Process Development Engineer, you’ll be at the forefront of our innovation,
safely
providing ongoing global support and solutions for both new process developments and strategic manufacturing support projects related to TempRite resin. You will provide technology support for TempRite Operations, Joint Ventures, process development, capacity expansion, operation cost reduction and Most Effective Technology (MET) development.
You’ll collaborate with a diverse group of passionate individuals to deliver sustainable solutions to advance mobility, improve wellbeing and enhance modern life.
As a part of the PT (Process Technology) organization, you will have the opportunity to draw insight from both manufacturing and commercial functions of the global TempRite business
.  

An
Initial training will take place in Delfzijl, The Netherlands (during the first 6 months).

What We’re Looking For: 

-Foster professional relationships with Business partners (Sales and Marketing, Product Management, R&D, and Technical Services, among others).
-Be comfortable with routine supplier and partner interactions while reinforcing Lubrizol’s reputation and protecting Intellectual Property.
-Support TempRite UOI growth by practicing and advocating the use of business processes (Manufacturing Authorization (MA) process, Product and Portfolio Management Process (PPMP), Management of Change, and other related processes).
-Actively participate in and lead by example in plants and corporate HSE initiatives (Leader Standard Work (LSW), OSHA Process Safety Management (PSM), department safety meetings, and environmental initiatives).
-Participate in HAZOP sessions in our plants in US, Europe and India, and transfer safety improvements between plants.
-Lead root cause analysis and ad-hoc incident investigations.
-Support plant reliability improvements and commitment to continuous improvement by supporting capital (CAPEX) improvements in Louisville (US), Delfzijl (Europe), Rayong (Thailand) and Vilayat (India) plants.
-Continuously improve processes and capabilities by enhancing workflow and improve process automation (Osisoft PI data historian), using statistical analysis (DOE) and implementation of improved control strategies.
-Organize and lead multi-functional teams through influence and communicate/document outcomes.
-Organize and lead technical exchange meetings between TempRite resin plant teams. Drive implementation of best practices.
-Provide support for customer quality issues and QC development for Operations.
 

Skills That Make a Difference:

-Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering or related technical field.
-5+ years of manufacturing operations experience is suitable.
-Strong fundamental knowledge in chemical engineering principals with proven problem-solving abilities
-Able to travel independently between US, EU and Asia and acquire visa for same. Travel can be up to 20%. It may be more the first year. Willingness to be trained during the first 6 months in the Netherlands (in case of not located in the country).
-Strong project management skills utilizing stage-gate systems and job aids.
-Strong “hands-on” chemical process engineering skills.
-Knowledge of chemical and polymer unit operations, including process and equipment design.
-Knowledge of experimental design (DOE) and data analysis using fundamental statistical techniques and statistical software.
-Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
-Ability to work with others at all levels and in multiple locations within the organization.
-Experience managing both internal and external customer expectations.
-Knowledge and application of SAP enterprise software is preferred.
-Knowledge of CPVC or PVC manufacturing and chemistry preferred.
