Reporting to the Global Head of Insights & Analytics, CVRM, you will collaborate with various teams to provide market insights that influence key investment decisions and business development opportunities. This role is pivotal in ensuring the success of our early asset commercial strategies and global product initiatives.AccountabilitiesServe as a strong business partner to the Early Assets and BD teams, including 5-8 Commercial Stakeholders managing various aspects of the early CVRM pipelineLead I&A planning for over two dozen Ph2b/Ph3 investment decisions and advise on market potential for approximately 10 NME potential launchesOversee robust and fast-paced Business Development Opportunity AssessmentsCollaborate across broader CVRM I&A Teams to ensure consistency in assumptions from Early to Late PipelineProvide strategic vision over NME Market Opportunity AssessmentsAct as the primary contact for external communications related to key messages and I&A statisticsLead the Global TA Strategy Business Process and New Opps Strategic PlanningPlan and align Insights/Budget required to inform FRC/LSPC DecisionsManage complexity with well-integrated synthesized insights and instill confidence amidst ambiguityBuild a high-performing team and develop talent to meet both career and organizational goalsUnderstand the business, competitive landscape, market, and customer to inform strategic plans, challenge assumptions, and identify creative solutions to business issuesMaintain a global view and strategic mindset to assess long-term pipeline possibilities and risksValue diverse perspectives and cultural norms, driving team engagement and collaboration with internal/external partnersEnsure all primary research is conducted in accordance with internal AZ compliance policies and best practices, with preferred vendorsEssential Skills/ExperienceBS/BA degree in science or commercial relatedGood business acumen, strategic thinking, and understanding of sales and marketing business practicesGood financial modeling and forecasting skillsProven ability to lead teams through competing business priorities/deadlinesExperience in the pharmaceutical or consumer industriesStrong written and verbal communication skillsStrong interpersonal, inclusive leadership, and collaboration skillsComfortable working in a matrix environmentDemonstrates self-awareness and willingness to learn through stretch opportunities as well as adapts to coaching, actively pursuing growth in development areasDesirable Skills/ExperiencePhD/MBAIn-depth knowledge of regional market dynamics through to in-market or regional experienceDemonstrates ability to influence laterally and verticallyHigh degree of creativity and innovation in developing new approaches, processes, and methodologiesAt AstraZeneca, we are driven by our commitment to put patients first.
