The Role
An opportunity has arisen in ADM’s Animal Nutrition division for a Global Director of Animal Nutrition #1 Performance.
This position is part of our Growth function, the main purpose of this role is to lead the Growth agenda, working closely with the President of Growth as well as all Regional Presidents and global functional representatives.
Responsibilities
The role is part of a team of 3 experienced colleagues covering ADM Animal Nutrition’s 3 pillars of Growth : * Performance,

Reporting to the President for Growth, Animal Nutrition, the manager will oversee the Growth agenda for the Performance in all five Regions : North America, Latin America (North and South), EMEA and Asia. In addition to the overall responsibility of each pillar, for which one can leverage all of ADM’s products and services, the role will also focus on the specific product lines of mycotoxins, organic acids and flavors & sweeteners.Key Duties
- Accountability for the development and implementation of the global strategies for Performance, as well as product strategies for the categories managed, using the company-wide tools of Where-to-Play/How-to-Win analysis, Economic Analysis, and Commercial Excellence customer segmentation as well as the Idea-to-Launch (I2L) process
- Delivery of business and financial goals for the pillar, including tracking of financial performance end-to-end
- Collaboration with the relevant functional teams through the
- Growth team for overall fit within AN Win-in-3S strategy
- R&D team for product development through I2L
- CD&D for specialty feed additives knowledge, technical support and product lifecycle
- Marketing teams for existing product promotion and new product launches with plans and sales enablement materials
- Regulatory and Quality teams to manage registrations and ensure quality compliance.
- Operations for regional manufacturing, in/out-sourcing decisions
- Pricing for end-to-end margin management
- Build relationships with key customers and stakeholders for voice-of-the-customer and customer needs insights
- Represent ADM at all appropriate forums and exhibitions/expos to support product growth
Education
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine, Masters or PhD in Animal Nutrition or related field followed ideally by a Master’s degree in Business Administration.
Experience
- 10+ years in product management, preferably in feed additives including at least one direct sale or commercial role, demonstrating strong commercial acumen
- Experience in leading (cross-functional) internationally diverse teams
- Experience in bringing innovation to market and leading change management projects (organizational and process knowledge)
- Ability to make decisions in an uncertain environment
- Strong influencing skills and proven ability to work in a matrix organization
- Entrepreneurial mindset
- Willingness to travel internationally (25 to 50%), with ability to successfully interact with a wide range of languages and cultures
