GN is creating a Global Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) function, transitioning from locally anchored HSE resources to a global and cross-divisional HSE function. This new structure aims to promote the HSE agenda consistently throughout the GN Group.To make this happen, we are seeking a Director of Health and Safety to lead our Global Health and Safety strategy direction and priorities for continuous improvement of Health and Safety compliance across all operations. This role will direct initiatives to promote a safe and sustainable work environment, encompassing both mental and physical well-being.The role will be located at GN’s Headquarter in Ballerup, Denmark and will report into the Chief People Officer.This is a unique opportunity to establish the Health and Safety framework on group level in an international working environment.Key Responsibilities will be:Develop, implement, and oversee global Health and Safety policies and programs in accordance with international standards and local regulations.Effectively align global and local Health and Safety resources to create a culture that prioritizes safety and environmental responsibility.Ensure all our production sites are accredited and compliant with ISO 45001.Prepare for and conduct both internal and external audits, as well as internal assessments.Ensure documentation is updated and complete.Direct risk assessments and incident investigations proactively, identify potential hazards, and implement strategies to mitigate them.Conduct Health and Safety incident investigations, analyse root causes, and formulate corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.Work collaboratively across all divisions and functions to integrate and improve Health and Safety performance.Develop and monitor Health and Safety performance indicators, and report on the progress to senior management and stakeholders.Some travelling to global sitesTo succeed in the role, we imagine that you bring:Proven experience in Health and Safety leadership positions.Comprehensive knowledge of Health and Safety best practices.Relevant degree in Environmental Science, Safety Management, or related field.Expertise in risk management, reviewing method statements, conducting site inspections, developing policies, maintaining compliance, and assessing risks.Experience with ISO standards.Effective communication, stakeholder management, change management and leadership skills.Ability to balance strategic goals with a pragmatic approach, being hands on when the situation requires.We encourage you to applyWe highly value a mindset, motivation, and energy, that aligns with our core values, to not only ensure growth for you, but for your team and the wider GN organization as well.We are committed to an inclusive recruitment processAll applicants will receive equal consideration for employment.
