It’s an opportunity to be part of something special.About the roleIn your role as the Site EHS and Engineering Lead you play a critical role in the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of the manufacturing plant. As a key member of the Site Leadership Team, you will work collaboratively with your operations and wider functions teams to ensure best plant performance.You will advise and support site Management on Environmental, Health, Safety and employee health matters to positively impact the business performance. This role requires Leading the development, implementation and maintenance of effective management systems and execution of Site EHS programmes, services, and provision technical expertise that address and support the communication and measurement of progress towards Haleon’s EHS expectations. You must encourage, promote and monitor the highest levels of EHS&W performance in line with statutory regulations and Haleon corporate requirements. This role also evaluates EHS risks and helps define and execute appropriate remedial and corrective actions as well as creating a proactive Site EHS culture, initiating and leading improvement programmes.You will provide technical engineering knowledge and expertise for all areas of the plant, developing competence and skills in the local site team in all engineering related activities ensuring that the site has the necessary strong day to day engineering support. You have a strategic role in identifying opportunities for future improvements and investments, owning both the Facility improvement plan and execution of Capital Projects. You lead the maintenance improvement programmes ensuring required asset care to drive plant performance.Key ResponsibilitiesThe role is a member of the Site Senior Leadership team and reports to the Site Director and has the responsibility to:keep the team informed about current Haleon and/or legal requirements towards EHS and recommend measures for the site to be able to comply with those requirements.Monitor current and potential environment, safety, and health risks. Determining key trends, defining priorities, and proposing measures to improve EHS performance at Site. Develop and implement policies to avoid or mitigate those risks.Own the EHS audit programme at Site and hosting audits conducted by corporate functions, regulatory enforcement authorities or EHS management systems accreditation/certification bodies.Lead the EHS and Engineering team utilising resources effectively so that site safety, environment and sustainability programs are delivered on time in full and site high severity risks are mitigated.Execute Duty holding roles and build capability within the Site Subject Matter Experts as well as beyond the direct report EHS and Engineering team to safety champions and influence across the site.Ensure appropriate data and KPI reporting with a high level of accuracy into EHS One allowing excellence in assurance reviews.Environmental Stewardship – Meeting environmental regulations, air emissions, waste and implement programs to meet Haleon’ s sustainability targets.Perform full scale investigation of accidents and incidents and potential serious incidents or fatalities ensuring high quality and sufficient investigation depth as well as appropriate corrective and preventative actions.Provide EHS and Engineering technical advice and best practice for improvement/investment projects.Manage site planning for emergency response and crisis management.Environmental Stewardship – Meeting environmental regulations, air emissions, waste and implement programs to meet Haleon’ s sustainability targets.

Work with Regional Occupational Health team to establish employee health programs to promote healthy work environment and mental wellbeing.Lead site engineering to improve process and equipment reliability of current and future operational processes. Ensure breakdowns or disruptions in the production processes are minimised with a focus on a safe and productive environment.Lead the planning and execution of all planned site shut-downs.Ownership of site equipment automation and digital investments.Responsible for meeting department financial performance, manage programmes and procedures to reduce spending, enhance performance and achieve savings in capital efficiency.Collaborate with other departments, business unit peers and global engineering functions to integrate engineering activities and utilise technology innovation to enable business growth and savings.Qualifications and skills EssentialEducation:Engineering Degree / Min Bachelor/Master studyLanguage: Spanish & English – high levelExperience:Adequate relevant experience in pharmaceutical/consumer healthcare manufacturing operationsGood understanding of the various regulations, EHS and engineering standards and production processesAuditing Experience.
