Position: Geotechnical Design

Location: Staffordshire, West Midlands

Salary: GBP30,000 – GBP40,000 per annum (depending on experience)

A reputable leading environmental firm in Staffordshire, West Midlands, is seeking a skilled and motivated Geotechnical Design to join their dynamic team. With a focus on geotechnical solutions and infrastructure development, they offer an exciting opportunity to contribute to a wide range of projects.

Responsibilities:

* Conduct geotechnical analysis and design, including slope stability, foundation design, and retaining structures.
* Perform site investigations, collect soil samples, and conduct laboratory testing.
* Utilise geotechnical software and modelling tools to support design calculations and simulations.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate geotechnical considerations into project plans.
* Prepare technical reports, including specifications, drawings, and recommendations based on geotechnical analysis.

Requirements:

* Bachelor’s degree in Environmental science or a related field.
* Minimum of 1 year of experience in geotechnical design, preferably in infrastructure projects.
* Proficiency in geotechnical software and analysis tools.
* Strong knowledge of soil mechanics, foundation engineering, and slope stability analysis.
* Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with project teams and clients.
* Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
* Professional certifications or licenses are a plus.
