Location: Kensington, LondonKey Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality Geography lessons to students across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, following the National Curriculum and ensuring a stimulating and inclusive learning environment.
- Assess, record, and report on the development, progress, and attainment of students.
- Contribute to the planning and development of the Geography curriculum, ensuring lessons are engaging and cater to a range of learning styles.
- Provide pastoral support to students, fostering a positive and respectful classroom culture.
- Participate in departmental meetings, staff training, and school events as required.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): The candidate must hold QTS and have a proven track record of teaching Geography at secondary level.
- Relevant Degree: A degree in Geography or a closely related field is essential.
- Experience: Demonstrated experience in teaching Geography at Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, with a strong understanding of the National Curriculum.
- Passion for Geography: The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for Geography and a commitment to inspiring students to explore the subject in depth.
- Strong Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines.
- Team Player: A collaborative approach to working within a team, contributing positively to the wider school community.
Desirable:
- Experience with extracurricular activities related to Geography, such as field trips or clubs.
- Familiarity with the latest educational technologies and their application in the classroom.
