To start as soon as possible, full time / part time, permanentWe are now looking for our next General Manager to manage the offshore wind farm Rødsand 2, based at Rødbyhavn. The wind farm will consist of 90 wind turbines, and it is located 9 km off coast of Rødbyhavn – between the German island of Fehmarn and the Danish island of Lolland.As a General Manager for RWE at Rødsand 2 you will have full responsibility and accountability for the Offshore Wind Farm’s safety, technical, and financial performance.Your future responsibilities

• Full responsibility for operational performance and asset integrity with a clear focus on Health and Safety and continuous optimization of all operational and maintenance activities
• Holding project P&L ownership
• Building and maintaining an enthusiasm for health and safety showcasing an extensive understanding of health and safety and environmental legislation and standards
• Leading the local operations team and establishing a culture of ownership and care that simultaneously aims for quality work
• Provide strategic and financial planning based on project specific design, local procedures, legal requirements, processes & working practices, local safety rules, tooling etc.
• Ensure smooth collaboration with global teams, supply chain and service providers
• Anticipate and resolve potential problems decisively

Your Profile

• A relevant engineering degree or equivalent, ideally complemented by a business degree, or a business degree with a demonstrated technical knowledge and understanding
• Positive leadership qualities and a proven history of building and fostering a performance culture and hard-working teams, coupled with proven, multi-annual experience in disciplinary line management of large and diverse teams
• Extensive knowledge and experience of renewable energy or generation assets, including economics and cost drivers
• A proven background in operations and decision-making based on the principles of sound financial valuation
• Effective planning and organizing skills to include effective prioritization, resource management and a long-term strategic focus
• High communication, influencing and interpersonal skills with ability to develop effective senior working relationships across RWE and the renewables industry
• Fluency in English and knowledge in Danish is essential
