General Manager Opportunity – Food Production Unit

Salary: around A‚¬120,000 per year

Location: Vantaa, Finland

We are looking for an experienced General Manager to lead a high-performing food production unit. You will oversee operations, drive process improvements, ensure compliance with safety regulations, and manage budgets to achieve financial goals. Your leadership will foster team excellence and customer satisfaction, ensuring the unit operates efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

* Oversee all aspects of unit operations, ensuring compliance with company standards .
* Take full responsibility for the unit’s financial performance, including budgeting, cost control, and maximising profitability
* Lead, mentor, and develop a diverse team , ensuring a high-performing workforce.
* Collaborate with sales teams to understand and adapt to the local market .
* Ensure adherence to food safety and quality regulations.
* Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to optimize production, reduce waste , and improve operational efficiency.
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers , ensuring their needs are met and exceeded.
* Work closely with procurement to manage supplier relationships.

Requirements:

* 7-10 years of experience managing busy food production units (catering, food factories, processing plants etc..)
* Strong P&L management and budget oversight.
* Knowledge of food safety regulations and continuous improvement processes.
* Finnish and English language proficiency.
