Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical General Ledger Accountant (m/f/d) to join our finance team in Frankfurt, Germany. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.

• Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial data

• Perform month-end and year-end close processes, including account reconciliations and financial statement preparation

• Analyze financial data and prepare detailed reports for management and stakeholders

• Assist in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures

• Collaborate with other departments to resolve accounting discrepancies and improve financial processes

• Ensure compliance with GAAP, IFRS, and German accounting standards

• Participate in audit preparations and respond to auditor inquiries

• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

• 3-5 years of experience in general ledger accounting or similar role

• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills

• Strong knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, and German accounting standards and regulations

• Experience with month-end and year-end close processes

• Excellent financial reporting and analysis skills

• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

• Strong attention to detail and analytical problem-solving skills

• Fluency in German and English, both written and spoken

• Professional accounting certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) preferred
