Job Overview and Responsibilities

Syensqo is creating its internal Global Business Services (GBS) to cover Finance, Procurement and Human Resources activities and in this context revising the organisation of certain Finance activities. We offer you to work in a dynamic and collaborative environment and to contribute to this group’s transformation.

This position is reporting to the Consolidation Manager:

  • to ensure the technical administration of the Group Consolidation tool

  • to participate to the Group closing Process

Key responsibilities:

  • Manage the administration and developments of the consolidation tool (BFC) and coordinate external provides that are supporting these activities.

  • Customizing tasks with basic complexity: updates of Structure tables (companies, Business structures, sites), creation/update of filters, creation/modification of reports, basic changes on consolidation rules (i.e. perimeter changes in RSB category)

  • Maintenance (creation / updates) of the Legal Entity Card (GAR list) and of the Khephren tool

  • Management of recurring maintenance’s procedures and customizing documentation

  • Support to answer to end users’ questions on customizing related to Reporting categories

  • Support to external audit: provide any documentation and/or evidence on maintenance and customizing activities requested by external auditors, according to agreed planning and lists

  • Manage External Providers, that will oversee:

  • Recurring maintenance (creation and update) related to Business reporting cycles (RSB and PREV categories): scopes, exchange rates tables, reporting period and packages openings,

  • Recurring maintenance (creation and update) related to IFRS reporting cycles: scopes, exchange rates tables, reporting period and packages openings, consolidation definitions & scheduling

  • Complex customizing work: creation and update in Chart of headings, in Category scenarios, in Consolidation rules, in Cash Flow Statement mapping tables

  • Maintenance (creation / updates) of users’ accesses

  • Support and collaborate during the closing process with the Consolidation team and Global Business Services team

  • Support M&A activities coordinating the local accounting teams

Education and Experience

  • Master’s degree in Finance / Accounting or Information Technologies

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience

Skills and behavioral competencies

  • Effective organizational skills and ability to navigate through different levels of the organization on a global basis

  • Strong Customer-focussed and ability to be agile

  • Tool: BFC & SAP experience in the domain

  • Proactive with a high level of initiative

  • Strong collaboration skills

Language skills

Excellent communication skills in English

Knowledge of French is a plus
