Our client is an important company operating in the energy sector that has commissioned us to support them in an interesting development plan for the trading area.For this reason, we are looking for anGas TraderJob PositionYou will join the Gas Trading Desk in a dynamic and fast-paced business environment.In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop, optimize, and execute gas trading strategies in major EU countries from day one. To succeed in this role, you’ll need experience in natural gas markets and a thorough understanding of gas fundamentals, logistics, and the broader energy market complex.We are looking for a new team member who is ambitious, structured, focused and motivated.To-do list:

• Develop and implement profitable trading strategies
• Collaborate with the algorithmic and systematic trading team
• Execute trades the day before and along the curve
• Identify and research ways to improve existing trading strategies
• Maximize PL with the Compliance Framework
• Manage the VaR limit assigned by the trading manager
• Suggest data analysis to the in-house analyst team to generate profitable trading strategies

Required Experience:

• At least 2 or 4 years of experience trading gas or cross-commodities on EU markets
• Proven track record in gas trading
• Strong business sense combined with entrepreneurial flair
• Strong personal interest in financial markets, trading, and options
• Master’s Degree in Statistics, Physics, Mathematics, Economics and Finance (or scientific disciplines)
• Good knowledge of the English language
• Nice to have: computer skills such as Python, C#, R, VBA
