The Advanced Technology team is a vibrant and international team in the wider Industrial Automation Group, responsible for investigating and developing innovative end-to-end system solutions for a variety of industrial automation & connectivity applications, where combinations of hardware and software technology are enabling our customers in end markets such as Connected Buildings, Logistics Automation and Industrial Sensing.
Currently seeking an energetic and motivated Systems Engineering Intern to join us at ADI Milan (Italy). The role is with a fast paced and dynamic team where a culture of innovation is nurtured. The variety and scope of projects provides an interesting and challenging opportunity for an impactful individual that will experience interactions with a variety of teams including design, marketing, and technology groups.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Development of hardware and software embedded systems for Connected Buildings, Wireless Sensor Networks and industrial Communications.
- Integration of various Processors/Sensors/Actuators/Software Stack/Power Management and delivery of:
- Evaluation boards (PCB) with supporting software
- Proof of concepts and custom embedded prototypes that feature both hardware and software designed for specific applications or co-created with strategic customers
- Supporting documentation and application notes
- Collaboration with various technical teams across the organization to build knowledge on new and upcoming advanced technologies that are applicable to relevant End Markets
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in MSc program (or recently graduated) in Electronics Engineering, or similar field
- Experience with PCB design that includes sensors, microcontrollers, and connectivity
- Experience with embedded software and firmware development
- Experience with serial communications (SPI, I2C, UART) and wireless protocols (BLE, WiFi)
- Hardware debugging skills including the use of lab equipment, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers
- Excellent communication skills (written and spoken English), organization, and technical skills with the ability to work in a multi-disciplinary international team
- Wide interest in new technologies, market trends and interaction with customers
