Frontend Engineer

The Role

In the role of Frontend Engineer, you will be essential in bringing our digital interfaces to life. You will work intimately with UX/Design, backend developers, product managers, and end-users. Your role is crucial in creating intuitive, user-centered experiences that will delight out customers and drive the success of our products. 

Our current tech stack includes Typescript, React, React-hooks-form, tailwind, Vitest, Cypress & Playwright, Visx, and Storybook/ Chromatic. The stack is reviewed regularly, and aims to strike a balance between team independence and ensuring visual consistency across the app suite.

Our teams are long-lived, and encouraged to organize around the principles of Kanban: Fast flow of value, limiting work-in-process, and a whole-team approach to accountability, shared goals, and continuous improvement. Skills & Experience 

Requirements 

• Experience in frontend development in Typescript. 
• Working knowledge of React.js and its ecosystem. 
• Responsive and accessible HTML5/CSS. 
• An interest in testing; we use Vitest, Cypress and Playwright. 

Beneficial 

• React-query, React-hooks-form, Vitest, and Tailwind experience. 
• FinTech experience, particularly in investments and wealth management. 
• Experience or interest in working within a Kanban environment, emphasizing workflow visualization, flow measurement, WIP limitation, and collaborative value delivery. 
• A strong desire to embrace full-stack development. This is primarily a frontend role, but we’d love it if you’re keen to move up and down the stack, and we’ll help you do it. 
• Exposure to working in a scale-up or high-growth tech environment. 
• Knowledge of multi-threading and concurrent programming. 

Whilst we spend a lot of our time working remotely, we believe there’s no substitute (yet) for in-person collaboration, so we strongly encourage you to be in our London office on a weekly basis to spend time with your colleagues.
