MFL Teacher (Specialising in French) Required in CrawleyLocation: Crawley, West Sussex
Start Date: September 2024Position Summary:We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed Modern Foreign Languages (French) Teacher to join a dynamic secondary school in Crawley. The primary focus will be on teaching French, with opportunities to teach other languages based on the candidate’s skills. This full-time, permanent role commences in September 2024.Key Duties:

  • Develop and deliver engaging French lessons for students in Key Stages 3 and 4, with potential Key Stage 5 involvement.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that motivates and engages students.
  • Regularly assess and track student progress, providing constructive feedback and support to promote academic achievement.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance the MFL curriculum.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and professional development activities.
  • Contribute to the school community through extracurricular programs and events.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • A degree in French or a related subject.
  • Demonstrated experience in teaching French at the secondary school level.
  • Strong classroom management skills with the ability to engage and inspire students.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Dedication to ongoing professional development and a passion for teaching languages.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Capability to teach an additional language (e.g., Spanish, German) is a plus.
  • Experience with modern educational technologies and teaching methodologies.
