Your Role

Within our Digital Customer Experience practice, we help organisations enhance the experiences of customers, citizens, employees, and partners by leveraging technology, data, and AI. We are looking for a Forward Deployed Engineer who combines strong software engineering capabilities with Customer Experience expertise and industry insight. In this role, you will work closely with clients to understand their business challenges, validate innovative solutions, and transform high-value ideas into scalable capabilities, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams across design, architecture, data, and platforms.

Key responsibilities include:

• Partner with client stakeholders to understand industry challenges, customer journeys, and technology ecosystems.
• Translate business needs into clear use cases, technical requirements, and value-driven solution opportunities.
• Identify and apply software, automation, data, and AI capabilities to improve customer and business outcomes.
• Build prototypes, MVPs, and intelligent solutions, including applications, APIs, AI agents, and workflow automation.
• Leverage generative AI and AI-assisted engineering tools to accelerate customer service, knowledge management, personalisation, development, and testing.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to bring successful concepts into production while sharing reusable industry solutions and best practices.

Experience in Energy & Utilities, Public Sector, Manufacturing, or Automotive is highly valued, as knowledge of the customer journeys, regulations, processes, and technology landscapes within these sectors is a key differentiator.

Your Profile

The ideal candidate combines strong Customer Experience expertise with hands-on engineering and AI capabilities. They understand how customer journeys, business processes, data, and technology connect, and can work effectively with both business and technical stakeholders to deliver practical, high-impact solutions.

Key profile requirements:

• Proven experience in digital Customer Experience initiatives, with a strong understanding of customer journeys across digital and assisted channels.
• Deep expertise in at least one complex industry, preferably Energy & Utilities, Public Sector, Manufacturing, or Automotive.
• Solid software engineering background, including application development, APIs, integrations, cloud platforms, and modern engineering practices.
• Practical experience with generative AI, AI agents, LLMs, and AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, or Microsoft Copilot.
• Collaborative mindset and consulting-oriented approach, with additional experience in AI platforms, CRM/CX technologies, solution architecture, workshops, or technical pre-sales considered a plus.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to bridge business needs and technical solutions in fast-changing environments.
• Professional working proficiency in English and Dutch

Relevant AI, cloud, Customer Experience, or industry certifications are considered an asset, although demonstrated industry expertise and delivery experience are considered more important than certifications alone.
