Leader of a team of Forecast and Inventory Specialists. Key to this role is the creation and maintenance of the statistical forecast for the portfolio for all time horizons.Responsibilities

  • Ensure statistical / sensed forecasts are created for the whole of their portfolio considering demand drivers at the agreed hierarchy level
  • Research demand drivers, prepare forecast data, and evaluate forecast performance
  • Monitor and report on specific KPIs (e.g., forecast accuracy, forecast BIAS, MAPE, forecast value add) at multiple levels and lags and provide insights on contributing factors and improvement opportunities
  • Monitor performance of assigned portfolio, team capabilities, tools & techniques
  • Guide the team on scenario modeling. AI techniques and data usage
  • For new product introductions, analyze proposal of like-SKU and collaborate with Demand Planners to generate the initial forecasts, additionally consider cannibalization impacts
  • Optimize and tune statistical forecasts, updating system parameters after conducting the necessary analysis to identify improvement opportunities
  • Track and monitor changes to allow for continuous improvement
  • Recommends healthy inventory levels across the network in line with lean principles (meeting targets), product segmentation and Service Level Agreements for a portfolio (establishing optimal safety stock levels )
  • Establish safety stock levels according to the agreed method within the inventory policy (e.g., SEIO, MEIO, Kanban)
  • Measure performance to identify gaps vs financial target
  • Evaluate exceptions/scenarios in inventory based on Inventory Health
  • Analyze root causes, Support the Supply Network Planner and Supply Execution Planner in maintaining healthy inventory within upper/lower boundaries at customer nodes (DC’s, factories, etc.) based on system netted demand
  • Review inventory performance metrics, identify issues & improvement opportunities and liaise with Supply Network Planner and Supply Execution Planner to align on action plan
  • Collaborate with related stakeholders to derive resolutions
  • Evaluate trade offs between service level and inventory goals based on optimized inventory replenishment strategies
  • Review and monitor inventory related master data parameters in systems

Qualifications we seek in you!
Minimum Qualifications / Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, supply chain management, applied math or other relevant degree
  • Strong understand of at least advanced planning systems and its functionality, e.g. Kinaxis, o9 Solutions
  • Knowledge of ERP functionality, experience with SAP / Oracle / JDE an asset.
  • Demonstrated experience in Forecasting (Statistical Techniques, Collaboration Scenario Modeling, Parameters modeling)and Inventory Management (Inventory Optimization, MRP planning)
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Exceptional drive, excellent interpersonal skills and effective communication skills, both verbally and in writing, with the ability to immediately contribute in a collaborative team environment
  • An ability to manage multiple priorities and perform well in a fast-paced environment, while maintaining a high level of client focus
  • Strong work ethic and high attention to detail, with a desire to learn
