You’ll start by preparing the dining and service areas, polishing glassware, stocking supplies, and ensuring everything is in place for smooth operations. Throughout the day, you’ll be the essential link between the kitchen and the dining area, delivering dishes promptly and accurately while assisting the waitstaff in providing attentive service. Whether refilling water, clearing tables, or handling special requests, every action you take contributes to the impeccable standards and memorable experiences that define Rosewood. At the end of the day, you’ll take pride in knowing you’ve supported your team and made a lasting impression on our guests.Job SummaryThe F&B Runner plays a crucial role in the flow of service at Rosewood Amsterdam. By ensuring the timely delivery of food and beverages, maintaining cleanliness, and supporting the waitstaff, this position directly impacts guest satisfaction and operational efficiency. The F&B Runner is a key team member who ensures our guests receive the exceptional service and attention to detail they expect.Key ResponsibilitiesGuest Experience:

  • Provide prompt, unobtrusive, and attentive service to guests, ensuring their needs are met throughout their dining experience.
  • Deliver food and beverages from the kitchen/pantry to the dining area, ensuring orders are accurate and meet the restaurant’s quality standards.
  • Assist in maintaining a clean and welcoming dining environment by clearing tables and resetting them for new guests.

Operational Excellence:

  • Set up and restock service areas with utensils, napkins, condiments, and other essentials to ensure smooth operations.
  • Communicate with kitchen and waitstaff to address special requests, modifications to orders, and ensure accurate delivery.
  • Support waitstaff by refilling water, bread, and other table essentials, contributing to a seamless service flow.
  • Monitor and replenish supplies as needed, ensuring the dining area is always fully stocked and ready for service.

Standards and Compliance:

  • Maintain a high standard of personal hygiene, appearance, and professionalism at all times.
  • Comply with Rosewood policies, procedures, and quality assurance standards.
  • Follow all HACCP regulations and hotel health and safety protocols, including fire and bomb procedures.
  • Participate in required safety and health training and ensure all work areas meet safety standards.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Work collaboratively with the kitchen and waitstaff to ensure efficiency and guest satisfaction.
  • Communicate any operational issues or guest feedback to management promptly.
  • Act as a brand ambassador by embodying Rosewood’s culture, vision, mission, and core values in all interactions.

Skills & QualificationsExperience:

  • Previous experience in a food and beverage role is preferred but not required.

Skills:

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while multitasking and maintaining focus.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with a team.
  • A positive attitude, with a commitment to delivering exceptional service.
  • Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to tasks.

Education:

  • MBO level 2 work and thinking level.
