Together, we’re working at the pace of change to improve patient lives with diagnostic tools that address the world’s biggest health challenges.The R&D Specialist, Fluid Mechanics for Radiometer is responsible for supporting our consumables and accessories from a R&D mechanical engineering perspective with specialist expertise in fluid mechanics and fluid transport in complex medical device systems.This position is part of the Sensor, Solutions and Accessories Section which is part of Radiometer Global R&D located in Brønshøj, Copenhagen and will be hybrid. At Radiometer, our vision is to improve global healthcare with reliable, fast, and easy patient diagnoses.You will be a part of the R&D Mechanics team and report to the Senior Manager, Mechanics responsible for ensuring highest quality consumables and accessories used in the different Radiometer instrument platforms. - Work with a broad range of mechanical engineering aspects related to Radiometers consumables, having your focus and expertise in fluid mechanics, microfluidics, and material science.
- Take the technical lead on the fluid transport area for selected products to ensure highest quality, performance, and availability for our customers.
- Work in a cross-site team (Denmark & Poland) with close interactions to sensor, instrument and SW specialists, operations, sourcing, suppliers, QA/RA and technical project managers from other departments.
The essential requirements of the job include:
- Multiple years of experience in modeling of fluid systems in tools as COMSOL or others
- Experience in developing low level instrument control SW using Python, C, Java or MATLAB
- Experience in data analysis, troubleshooting and structured problems solving
- Experience in design control for IVDR and MDR devices
- Hold a Bachelor of Science, Master of Science or PhD degree in mechanical engineering, applied physics or similar
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
- Experience with PTC Creo and Windchill
- Experience with design for injection molding
