We are specialized in the design, production and maintenance of components and systems for both the civil and military aviation.Avio Aero Advanced Technology Operations is looking for a talented engineer to join our Fluid and Thermal System Design team.
Innovative engines architectures require a step forward in terms of thermal management capabilities. The introduction of hybrid electric configurations and high-power extraction demand is leading to the need of additional technology development and different thermal design approach to the whole system.Working as part of an integrated global team, in this role you will support the fluid systems concepts definition, integrate the required new technologies at system and module level during all development phases up to final technology demonstration and validation.Job DescriptionEssential ResponsibilitiesSupport fluid and thermal concepting during the preliminary design studies of emerging engines architecturesContributing to the lube/thermal cooling systems and Thermal Management System (TMS) activities during the development phases, coordinating related activities and external resources where required.Execute fluid and thermal detailed design for advanced systems and development programsRun dedicated fluid dynamic analysis to substantiate new solutions and/or investigations as neededBe able to solve fluid and thermal tasks and problems using experience and available dataIntegrate technology development plans to support the programs needs, working within a global extended teamAssure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks consistent with engineering policies and proceduresStrongly interact and collaborate with other Avio Aero engineering sections and ATO sub sectionsBe part of the Fluid-thermal communities within GE and support the discipline area developmentQualifications/RequirementsMaster’s degree in Engineering, Mechanical, Materials or Aerospace Engineering preferredGood knowledge of basic fluid and thermal simulators, attitude to preliminary design approaches and tools
