This is a full time, fixed term position until 31st July 2024. Funding permitting the position may be continued.
Based at Bishop Grosseteste University (BGU), the LiNCHigher Uni Connect Partnership is one of 29 partnerships based in England. LiNCHigher is a consortium of local educational institutions including Bishop Grosseteste University as lead institution, University of Lincoln, Lincoln College, Stamford College, Grantham College, Grimsby Institute, Bishop Burton College (Riseholme Campus), Boston College & Lincolnshire County Council. This collaborative project is part of a wider national initiative funded by the Office for Students (OfS) called Uni Connect. Its objective is to increase aspirations amongst young people, and target cohorts of underrepresented learners around the country, with the overall aim being to meet government objectives of improving access to and through Higher Education.
We are looking to appoint a Community Events and Projects Officer within the LiNCHigher team.
The successful applicant will work with internal and external teams, consortia partners, strategic partners, school and college stakeholders and Uni Connect partners to develop and implement a range of educational programmes and events.
A key part of the role is building working relationships and networks with Community organisations, partner agencies, schools, colleges, young people and parents to ensure the LiNCHigher programme is demonstrated and promoted across the entire county.
The successful applicant will produce and provide helpful, accurate and expert training materials for team members, student ambassadors and academic staff. They will ensure that the delivery of activities is appropriate and accessible for the range of students involved in projects and activities and adheres to the project’s high standards. Work involves ensuring LiNCHigher events and activities are innovative, ambitious and engaging. You will exercise your creative flair to create exciting and memorable experiences.
The successful candidate will contribute to monitoring, evaluating and reporting on outcomes and impact. This will include collecting and analysing data, keeping accurate up-to-date records and producing written reports to inform decision making and to meet the reporting requirements of our funders. Duties will be undertaken as part of a supportive, friendly and highly committed team of professionals who develop and deliver productive partnerships with educational organisations and community groups throughout Lincolnshire.
