Summary This position is located at Panzer Fitness Center, Panzer Kaserne, Stuttgart, Germany. Evenings, weekends, and US/German Holidays are required. Responsibilities Supervises and oversees the management and operation of a Fitness Facility. Maximizes facility usage for both organized functions and individual development. Continually assesses facility requirements and develops plans and specifications for projects to augment or replace fitness and sports facilities. Serves as facility expert for major and minor construction projects, providing input to PW and contractors on work plans, schedules, methods, objectives and impact of work. Oversees the inventory of property; fitness equipment condition; tracks maintenance and repair or replacement as appropriate. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Possesses directly related work experience in planning, supervising, administering or carrying out a sports program that included a variety of individual and team sports and guiding participants in developing the skills needed for participation in sports activities and teaching the techniques of various sports. Experience that includes the demonstrated ability to manage and operate complex multiple fitness facilities. The related work experience must have been equivalent in difficulty and complexity to the next lower grade level. Highly Desirable: Candidates who possess a combination of education (an undergraduate in related fields such as physical education or kinesiology) and the ability, knowledge and skills to perform the duties identified above. Pay-Band Allowances and Differentials Sunday premium pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander.
