The successful candidate will play a key role in collecting, processing, and analyzing data to provide actionable insights that support decision-making processes. This role requires a combination of technical skills, business acumen, and the ability to communicate complex data insights effectively.This pivotal role is within the Amsterdam-based Group Finance function, in which you will contribute to processes to collect and analyze data to support decision-making related to Adyen’s Net Revenue. You will act as a bridge between Group Finance and the Payments Solution (Product and Engineering) teams as well as contribute to financial process optimisation within Group Finance.If you are a strong relationship builder, data driven and are passionate about using data and technology in solving business challenges, this opportunity could be your ideal next step!What you’ll do
- Focus on designing and improving financial processes that validates and ensures accuracy of large data linked to Net Revenue (Acquiring and Issuing).
- Partner with the Payments Solution by providing them with margin analyses and other insights to drive prioritization.
- Contribute to variance analysis and analytical reviews during the month-end close activities.
- Regular deep dives into the Acquiring and Product functions to provide insights into business activity driving the financial figures.
- Work with Finance Developers and other Data Analysts to improve the accuracy and integrity of financial data extractions and build scalable validation controls.
- Contribute to the internal control framework (risk assessments and control implementation).
Who you are
- 3+ years of experience in data analysis or a related field.
- Demonstrated knowledge with SQL and programming languages such as Python or R.
- Experience with database management systems and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker).
- You have excellent communication and stakeholder management skills and are able to explain complex concepts in plain language.
- Ability to analyze data, drive process improvements/automations, and maintain attention to detail.
- Proactive approach to projects, demonstrating the ability to drive projects both independently and as part of a team.
- Forward-thinking mindset, ensuring implemented solutions are scalable for Adyen’s continued growth.
- The following qualifications are advantageous (not mandatory):
- Experience in Financial Services and/or the Tech industry
- Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).
