The Position

As our Financial Controller, you will be expected to deliver high quality accounting services to ensure accurate financial accounting and reporting, as well as to manage the internal control environment on both, affiliate and regional area, level.

You will act as a Finance Partner to the affiliates by ensuring financial compliance, accurate accounting, and sharing better practices which would help the local affiliates to focus on their business operations.

You will report directly to the Accounting Director for the region. You will be solely responsible for 1-2 of our countries and as “First point of Contact”, the role will require travels, in order to deliver support to the local affiliate.

As part of your role, you will:

-Accurate monthly and yearly financial accounting and reporting to HQ, as well to the local authorities
-Maintain and ensure financial compliance with the agreed set of financial policies and laws
-Provide accurate financial information for the business
-Monitor and implement efficient internal financial control systems
-Manage the Tax and Transfer Pricing compliance according guidelines.

Together with our Accounting & Taxation team you will be expected to further drive the concept of Centre of Excellence as well as Finance Partnering to our key stakeholders.

Qualifications

We are searching for candidates who meet the following criteria:

-Degree in Finance, Business Administration or similar
-Experience of qualified accounting in a complex environment
-Fluency in both written and spoken Swedish and/or Danish as well as English. Knowledge of German and/or French are considered a plus
-Proficient knowledge with SAP FI/BO is an asset
 

As a person, you have strong accounting skills combined with a proactive mindset as well as a “can-do” attitude, which allow you to drive successful interactions with your key stakeholders. Moreover, you are focused, and take pride in high quality deliverables. You display strong communication skills, a high level of energy, and a  good ability to work in a team. You are ready to invest time and effort in understanding the business environment in which we operate, and you want to be a part of an environment where we strive to simplify and standardize financial processes. All this will you do and approach with a positive frame of mind.  

About the Department

You will be part of the Accounting & Taxation team which is part of the North-West Europe (NWE) Region head office. The team consists of 8 people, primarily based in Malmö and Copenhagen. The team is responsible for Accounting, Taxes, Transfer Pricing, Financial Reporting and for giving general accounting support to the countries within the Region.
