What dos a Financial Controller do?

Oversees the general ledger operation for the Sealed Air entity in Italy, conducted by the outsourced Shared Service Center. Interacts with the Italian Financial Accountant for the statutory and tax compliance activities (incl. VAT, W/T etc.) and with the accountants of our Service Center, providing guidance as needed and liaising with stakeholders in other departments across the globe on daily operational tasks, and in addition on projects.

Why we need you?
-To use your knowledge to review monthly, quarterly and annual US GAAP financial closure process 
-You will be the first point of contact and subject matter expert for audits (statutory, external, etc.) and for local stakeholders on questions related to Accounting
-To use your talent to support and guide the Service Center and other functions.
– your reporting skills to prepare and publish timely and accurate local statutory and tax reports and other local financial reporting requirements and filings (ie statistical reports, etc.)
-To use your experience with assigned SOX key controls and other Internal Control requirements
-To be the partner with other functions for further process improvements and participate in regional and global projects

Qualifications
-Degree in accounting (or similar qualifications)
-Proven work experience and expertise in Italian statutory accounting 
-Strong organization, prioritization, and time management skills
-Interpersonal and collaboration skills
-Strong Microsoft Excel skills are essential
