Financial Compliance and Risk Controller

As part of the Group Financial Compliance Team, the position will work as a trusted advisor and business partner having a pivotal role in evaluating and improving the effectiveness of the organization’s financial risk management, internal controls and governance processes.

In the role, you will assess financial and operational processes globally to identity risks and propose mitigating actions and improvements.

Your new role

The tasks and responsibilities include:

-Support strategic initiatives within financial compliance and risks, ensuring that risk insights and control improvements contribute directly to Lundbeck’s broader business priorities.
-Contribute to strategic Financial Compliance activities by planning, optimizing and supporting execution of reviews as agreed with the Audit Committee.
-Supporting the Enterprise Risk Management process in capturing, evaluating and reporting Lundbeck’s overall Enterprise Risk Management risks.
-Ensure that the Authorization and Signing Policy reflect current operational and financial risks and processes and provide guidance to the business on its practical application.
-Various financial compliance controlling tasks such as controlling of Related Party Transaction, advisory and monitoring of Audit fee, etc.
-Support on optimization of Lundbeck’s Internal Control Framework.
-Assist the team in managing the Audit Committee Reporting.
-Acting as a business partner to the Global Finance organization and other stakeholders, building and maintaining relationships with main stakeholders.
 

There will be a broad insight into Lundbeck’s financial processes globally.

The role includes up to 6 weeks of travel per year.

Your future team

Financial Compliance Team within Group Finance dedicated to safeguarding Lundbeck’s financial assets against intentional and non-intentional errors and fraud. The department is overall responsible for evaluating and improving the effectiveness of the organization’s financial risk management, financial compliance, internal controls, and governance processes.

The position is based in Valby, Denmark

What you bring to the team

You have a strong foundation in financial compliance or internal controls and know how to turn insights into practical improvements for the business. You bring:

-Experience with financial compliance, internal controls, risk assessments, or audit in an international setting.
-The ability to analyze processes, identify risks, and communicate clear recommendations.
-Strong stakeholder management skills and the confidence to challenge constructively.
-A structured and independent way of working, with attention to detail and quality.
 

You are curious, collaborative, and motivated by improving how the organisation operates while building trust with stakeholders across the business.
